Library Access Project The quality of these materials is just superb and we have enjoyed
listening to the tapes so much. I am encouraged that our patrons will
learn to love them, especially since we are located in a rather rural
area, 90 miles from nowhere, as they say. |

The LIBRARY ACCESS project is a national outreach program that provides our collection of audio theatre to libraries in underserved and rural communities, as well as to libraries that serve the visually impaired. LIBRARY ACCESS is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and has provided for more than 900 libraries across the country to enroll in this invaluable program. In order to qualify for this program, libraries must be public libraries with media budgets of under $3,000, serve communities in rural or underserved urban areas, or have a dedicated program for the blind. Each qualifying library receives audio recordings of plays performed by some of this country’s most prominent and talented actors. Promotional materials for the libraries accompany the audiocassettes to assist with circulation in the libraries' community. These materials will include a recorded PSA for local radio stations, and posters for library areas. Libraries interested in participating in the program may click here to enroll online. You must verify that you qualify for this program on the enrollment form. Please note that this program is for public libraries, not school libraries. School libraries may register in the Alive and Aloud program.)Please note that this program is for community libraries, not school libraries. School libraries need to register in the Alive and Aloud program.
