Denise du Maurier is an actress and writer, known for the films, Bill's Gun Shop and Only You. Born in Pennsylvania and educated in England, she worked as a stage actor in character roles for more than 50 years. Her love of poetry began with wonderful roles from the "SH-guys:" Shakespeare, Sheridan, Shaw. Her latest book, Follow Me Down, contains poems of tribute, remembrance and aging. She was nominated for a 1994 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Supporting Role in a Play for The Importance of Being Earnest at the Court Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
