Barry Creyton is an Australian actor and playwright.
In Australia, he starred frequently at Sydney's Music Hall, wrote for and starred in The Mavis Bramston Show, Carson's Law, over 90 episodes of The Mike Walsh Show, and his own series, The Barry Creyton Show. He wrote and starred in a stage comedy, Double Act, which broke box office records and has been produced in more than 20 languages and turned into a film. Creyton received the Norman Kessel Memorial Award for his contributions to Australian theatre.
In England, he appeared on BBC radio and TV, and was a frequent broadcaster for the BBC World Service.
In the U.S., he wrote a movie of the week for Hearst Television, an off-Broadway revue, Secrets Every Smart Traveler Should Know, and his adaptation of Noël Coward's Peace in Our Time was listed among the best world theatre of the year by the LA Times.
