Raj Patel

President

Raj Patel has served as an LATW Board member since 2020, and has a background in business and technology. He is currently CFO of Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions in Los Angeles, a company accelerating the transition to carbon free transportation by deploying charging stations across the west coast of the United States. He has held multiple CFO roles in the recent past, helping them through the process of raising capital, and streamlining operations.

 

Vicki Pearlson

Secretary

Ms. Pearlson has served as LATW’s Managing Director since 2006. Previous to LATW, she was Director of Development for the Los Angeles office of Facing History & Ourselves, and Grants Manager and Community Relations Director for KKJZ/88.1FM. Ms. Pearlson has a B.A. in Comparative Literature from California State University, Long Beach.

 

Alan Finkel 

Treasurer

Mr. Finkel is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law. Prior to joining Connolly & Finkel LLP, he practiced for many years at Proskauer Rose LLP. Mr. Finkel practices business tort litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and business litigation with an emphasis in construction and real estate.

Annette Blum

Annette Blum is involved in sponsorship in the area of media, global social action and arts activism. She is a member of the Synergos Global Philanthropist Circle and the Artists and Educators Board at Center Theater Group, an International Trustee of Religions for Peace in New York and on the Board of American Friends of Hebrew University.  

 

Héctor Elizondo

Héctor Elizondo is known for television work, including Chicago Hope and Last Man Standing, and movies like The Princess Diaries and Pretty Woman. Theatre includes: Broadway debut in The Great White Hope and OBIE Award-winning performance in Steambath. Other accolades: Golden Globe nomination, Emmy Award, two ALMA Awards, five SAG Award nominations.

Gary N. Jacobs

Gary Jacobs has had an extensive corporate and legal career, focused primarily on corporate strategy, U.S. and international business development, and mergers and acquisitions, with particular experience as a senior executive in the health care and hospitality industries.

 

Sherry Bebitch Jeffe

Sherry Bebitch Jeffe is a Professor of the Practice of Public Policy Communication at the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and an internationally recognized political analyst. She holds a Ph. D. in government from Claremont Graduate University, and a master’s degree in political science from Rutgers University.

Linda Lichter

Linda Lichter, founding member and partner at Lichter, Grossman, Nichols, Adler & Feldman, Inc., was the first female lawyer to be a named partner in an entertainment law firm, and one of the first lawyers to work in the independent film world. She represents studio talent in all aspects of the expanding entertainment business.

 

Susan Albert Loewenberg

Susan Albert Loewenberg is founder and Producing Director of L.A. Theatre Works. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, she is a Board member of The Center for Public Integrity, a Fellow of the LA Institute for the Humanities at USC, and a contributing author to various professional journals. 

 

Karen Rothenberg

Karen H. Rothenberg, JD, MPA is the Marjorie Cook Professor of Law, Founding Director, Law & Health Care Program and former Dean, University of Maryland Carey School of Law. Her publications cover diverse research interests including gender in health care, AIDS, research ethics, the right to forego treatment, emergency care, and reproductive technologies.

Beegie Truesdale

After graduating from USC, Beegie Truesdale began a career in electoral politics. She also served as Speech Writer, Press Secretary, and DC Office Director for Governor Richard Riley of South Carolina and later worked with George Furth producing the play "Fixin to Die." Currently, she has reverted to old habits and works with Carrick Consulting.
