Carie Kawa is a Los Angeles-based actress known for her recurring role in the Peacock series Joe vs Carole, starring Kate McKinnon and John Cameron Mitchell. Her anchoring lead performance in the supernatural cult-horror film While Mortals Sleep attracted attention when it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. She's also known for bringing her unique point of view to popular dramas like Little Fires Everywhere and Ryan Murphy's Ratched, as well as comedic roles in the Jim Carrey-led series Kidding, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Praised by The New Yorker Magazine as "beguiling" and by Backstage as "electrifying," Carie's theater chops earned her an MFA from The Academy for Classical Acting in Washington, D.C. and two national tours with The Acting Company, a Tony Award Honoree. Local theater appearances include King Charles III at Pasadena Playhouse and the world premiere of Ladies at Boston Court Theater.
