David Dukes was an American character actor, best known for And the Band Played On, Rawhead Rex, The Josephine Baker Story, and Gods and Monsters. Other film credits include The Love Letter, Last Stand at Saber River, Norma Jean And Marilyn, and The Surrogate.
He starred as Joseph McPhee on WB’s Dawson's Creek, Edward Sherman on FOX’s Pauly, Jack Larson on NBC’s The Mommies, and Wade Halsey on NBC’s Sisters.
Broadway credits include his debut as Horace in The School for Wives, Don Carlos in Don Juan, and William A. Brown in The Great God Brown (Lyceum Theatre); Dr. Harry Hyman in Broken Glass and Edward in Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me (Booth Theatre); Andrew Makepiece Ladd III in Love Letters (Edison Theatre); Rene Gallimard in M. Butterfly (Eugene O’Neill Theatre); Antonio Salieri in Amadeus (Broadhurst Theatre); Horst in Bent (New Apollo Theatre); and Count Dracula in Dracula (Martin Beck Theatre).
