James Waterston is an American actor, best known for Live from Baghdad, Christy: Return to Cutter Gap, Little Sweetheart, and Dead Poets Society. Other film credits include Dear Dumb Diary, Wedding Daze, Diagnosis Murder: Without Warning, and Shrinking Violet.

Television credits include Dr. Dale Blum on Amazon’s Red Oaks and Peter Oppenheimer in the BBC miniseries Oppenheimer.
