James Waterston

James Waterston is an American actor, best known for Live from BaghdadChristy: Return to Cutter Gap, Little Sweetheart, and Dead Poets Society. Other film credits include Dear Dumb Diary, Wedding Daze, Diagnosis Murder: Without Warning, and Shrinking Violet.

Television credits include Dr. Dale Blum on Amazon’s Red Oaks and Peter Oppenheimer in the BBC miniseries Oppenheimer.

Theatre credits include his Broadway debut as Billing in An Enemy of the People (Samuel J. Friedman Theatre); Off-Broadway, as Roy in Buffalo Gal (59E59 Theater), Orlando in As You Like It (Delacorte Theatre), and Leonard in Another Time (American Jewish Theatre); and regionally, as Elyot Chase in Private Lives (Lansburgh Theatre), John in The Cocktail Hour (Huntington Theatre), Ted in American Hero and Teddy Spearing in The Torch-Bearers (Williamstown Theatre),Daniel Cavanaugh in Chinglish (Goodman Theatre), Iago in Othello (Parkman Bandstand), and Michael in Parents’ Evening (Flea Theater).
