
Rhian Rees, award winning British actress, is best known for portraying investigative journalist ‘Dana Haines’ in David Gordon Green’s 2018 Box Office success Halloween (Universal), alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Judy Greer. Other film credits include her film debut as ‘Madame Levasseur’ in Confession of a Child of the Century (Canal+) starring Charlotte Gainsbourg, which premiered at Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section. Other film credits include: The Send-Off, Babylon, Nope, Rehearsal, and The Lears. Television credits include comedy series Disengaged and Riders. Theatre credits include: ‘Lula’ in Dutchman by Amiri Baraka (MOCA); ‘Anne’ in The Treatment by Martin Crimp (Sundial Theatre); ‘Anna Christie’ in Anna Christie by Eugene O’Neill (Royal Shakespeare Company Lab); ‘Donna’ in The Dreamer Examines His Pillow by John Patrick Shanley (USC Theatre); ‘Alma’ in Summer and Smoke by Tennessee Williams (Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute), and ‘Yerma’ in Yerma by Federico García Lorca (University of Surrey). This will be her debut LATW performance as ‘Lady Brett Ashley’ in The Sun Also Rises written by Ernest Hemingway, adapted for radio drama by Kate McAll. Rees has a BA in Playwriting from the University of Surrey, UK, which led to a placement on the Royal Court Theatre Young Writers’ Programme.
