Sharon Lawrence

Sharon Lawrence is an Emmy-nominated and SAG award-winning actress known for NYPD Blue and Grey’s Anatomy. She continues to work on several different series and films, most recently in the acclaimed Rebel on ABC, and the new Spectrum series Joe Pickett. TV roles include: Shameless, Dynasty, Criminal Minds, Home Before Dark, How to Kill a God in Central Florida. Me, Myself and I, Queen Sugar, The Ranch, I Like You Just the Way I Am, and The Last Tycoon. Film work includes: The Lost Husband, Killing Eleanor, Diedra and Laney Rob a Train, Solace, and Middle of Nowhere. 

An accomplished stage actress, and 2012 Lunt-Fontane Ten Chimneys Fellow, Sharon recently starred in The City of Conversation at Santa Barbara’s Ensemble Theater. Theatre work also includes: The Mystery Of Love and Sex  (Mark Taper Forum), Love, Noel (Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts), A Song at Twilight and Orson’s Shadow (Pasadena Playhouse), the latter for which she was nominated for an Ovation Award and won the LA Drama Critics Circle Award. She created the role of ‘Maureen’ in the premiere of Poor Behavior at the Mark Taper Forum and appeared on Broadway as ‘Velma Kelly’ in Chicago.

Sharon previously chaired the Women In Film Foundation were she incubated and managed corporate partnerships with Netflix and the Scholl Foundation; she is still active on the Advisory Board. She serves on the Board of Directors of two effective environmental organizations Heal The Bay and Green Wish, and is a Trustee of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation.
