Julie Kavner is an American film and television actress, comedian, and voice-over artist. She is best known as Emmy Award-winning role as Brenda Morgenstern on CBS’ Rhoda and as the voice of Marge Simpson on the FOX animated television series, The Simpsons. Other television credits include HBO’s Tracey Takes On… and FOX’s The Tracey Ullman Show.

Film credits include The Simpsons Movie, Barn Red, A Walk on the Moon, Judy Berlin, Deconstructing Harry, Jake’s Women, Shadows and Fog, Awakenings, Alice, Radio Days, Hannah and Her Sisters, and No Other Love.

Theatre credits include her Broadway debut as Fay Roth in Honeymoon Motel as part of Relatively Speaking (Brooks Atkinson Theatre); and Off-Broadway, as Esther Arthur in Mizlansky/Zilinsky or “Schmucks” (N.Y.C. Center Stage), Barbara in God’s Heart (Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater), Brooke Silver in Particular Friendships (Astor Place Theatre), and in The Vagina Monologues (Westside Theatre).
